Capsula
"In the Land of Silver Souls"

(Krian)

Capsula hails from the streets of Bs As Argentina. Wildly touring Europe, US, Canada, Mexico & South America, they are relocated in Bilbao, Euskadi, Basque Country. They love guitars, fuzz, distortion. Their name comes from David Bowie's song Space Oddity, in spanish means capsule. They sound like mars, dreaming hawaii, a karate fight, flower crowns, vulcano, caramel, gigant waves, turtles in chile, kitten ears. They want to touch your lives and kiss your bones.

'A high-velocity union of the Cramps and the Who, coated in corroded glam. Guevara attacked his guitar with a serious case of Pete Townshend ... In the last song of the set, a furious space-out that sounded like the Who doing Pink Floyd’s “Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun,”...'
David Fricke. Fricke's Picks. Rolling Stone.

'Capsula sounded alternately like straight-up scuzzy garage punk and like Death Valley 69-era Sonic Youth... Pretty good!'
Pitchfork.

'My favorite SXSW 2010 bands so far: Capsula, co-ed trio that raises a rollercoaster din fusing acid-rock with punk brio.'
Greg Kot. Chicago Tribune

'This trio from Bilbao brought gobs of energetic, heavy garage psyche — think Comets on Fire and The Cramps — with screamed lyrics that are sometimes English, sometimes Spanish, or maybe Basque...Capsula tore up Maggie Mae’s during a packed Saturday night set, with guitarist Martin Guevara literally climbing the walls, slamming his guitar against light fixtures, ledges and shelves near the stage' –Michael Calore
9 SXSW Bands That Blew Us Away Unexpectedly. Wired Magazine.

'Han embotellado tan formidable vibración en Rising Mountains (BCore, 2009), expansivo exorcismo de psicodelia que mira a las alturas para elevarnos de la prosaica cotidianidad...'
Ignacio Julia. Revista Ruta 66. Album N1 del Año 2009.

'Un encuentro entre Spacemen 3, BRMC, Stones, The Drones ...Abrasivo, contundente, suenan a lo que les gusta y lo hacen estupendamente.'
Rockdelux
