MURDOCKS formed in a scorching hot public storage unit in Austin, Tex. Over the last several years, the band has spent night after night honing their craft and churning out catchy, hook-filled, melodic songs that draw attitude from their punk- rock roots and incorporate elements of indie rock, garage rock, and power-pop. With distorted sing-scream vocals, a driving and eccentric rhythm section, and lyrics as innocent as they are morbid, the Murdocks are equal parts beauty and beast. In that time, Murdocks have embarked on countless national tours, charted #80 on the CMJ Top 200, played with trendsetting bands like The Thrills, What Made Milwaukee Famous, Sound Team, and the list goes on and released five official records, the latest of which is in your hands as we speak. The Roar! EPis being released on the Surprise Truck Entertainment label (Hollywood, Calif.) in February of 2008.
