Chris Mills impresses all over the place
Fresh on the opening dates of his tour supporting his newest release Alexandria, Chris Mills is scoring a ton of great reviews. The Cleveland Plains Dealer calls him "one of music's hidden gems, a versatile player with a sturdy, soul-weathered voice wrinkled by life's ebbs and flows." The city and scene that raised him up recently welcomed one of their favorite sons with a rousing set at Schubas, something The Chicago Tribune called "the warmest of homecomings."
Particularly awesome is a review from Blurt Magazine in the latest issue, now on newsstands. The review gives Alexandria 4 of 5 stars and calls it a return to form that fans of Chris Mills earliest works have been clamoring for.
